Inspired by Joel Tjintjelaar – A Study in Fine Art Photography
For this project, we were tasked with selecting a well-known photographer and recreating their unique style through our own photography. I chose Joel Tjintjelaar, whose breathtaking black-and-white long-exposure photography has always fascinated me. His ability to transform architecture into timeless, almost surreal compositions inspired me to explore his approach in my own work.
My goal was to capture iconic buildings in Munich, reinterpreting them through the lens of Tjintjelaar’s fine art style. By emphasizing light, shadow, and structure, I aimed to create images that go beyond documentation—evoking emotion and depth through contrast and minimalism.
Here are some of my interpretations, where architecture meets artistry in a play of light and form.
